Recent
comic that sounds very familiar.... I
wonder if Brian Regan's lawyers will give
this comic writer as
hard a time as they gave me for this
guy using a common phrase:

"Pearls
Before Swine" Comic Strip written by Stephan Pastis

Welcome
to my comprehensive page dedicated to the
funniest (and cleanest) stand-up comedian
that I have ever seen. To learn more
about Brian and his comedy, click on the
links to the left. The topic you select
will appear in this window. I am just
a big fan of Brian Regan - I am not a stand-up
comedian myself. I actually am an IT
manager and webmaster.
First
Brian Encounter
I also want to take a quick minute to tell you
how I got into Brian Regan. Around 1996 or
so, my friend Micah Duniho worked at the Improv
comedy club in Addison, TX (suburb of Dallas). He
called me and told me I should come up to see this
guy, Brian Regan. I went. Oh.... my....
Funniest thing I ever saw. Each individual
rib hurt. My face was wet with happy tears. My
soul jiggled. It was AWESOME! I missed
out, though. Micah told me that the previous
night, Brian and his brother Dennis had gone with
a bunch of the guys from the Improv and played
poker after the show. He was hoping for a
repeat, but a repeat did not occur.
Micah said that Brian and Dennis Regan were hilarious
at the poker table.
Most
Frequent Brian Encounter
Most often (despite my 15+ visits to see Brian
at the Improv in Addison, TX), my experience includes
me, my car and a copy of "Brian
Regan Live!" on CD. I've listened
to the "Brian
Regan Live!" CD on many roads in many
states at many different times of day in many different
seasons (well, at least 4). I can now recite
most of the CD word-for-word, yet still know Brian's
delivery is perfect - it still makes me laugh!

Brian Encounter
On 10/18/02, Brian Regan was on Kidd Kraddick in
the Morning. I called in and got a chance to talk
to Brian Regan. I said (paraphrased) the following:
"Brian,
first, I’d like to apologize on behalf of Kidd
Kraddick. He gets you on – a great comedian – and
talks about snipers and death. But to be fair,
when he had Tom Brokaw on, he made him tell
knock knock jokes. Anyway, I’m a big fan – I
have a web site dedicated to you at brianregan.taitlifto.net.
My question is, how do you decide how to take
a joke out of circulation? Do you have a special
machine? Or just a bad memory?"
My understanding
of Brian's response was that he likes to just
keep throwing in new stuff. He likes his own "old" humor,
but it does get old after awhile, so he'll take
it out of rotation for awhile and then put it
back in when it's fresh again to him.
